Greetings from Montevideo, Minnesota

Greetings from Montevideo, Minnesota

Greetings! From Montevideo, Minnesota. I would like to share with you my latest creation, which has been graciously funded by a grant from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council with funds from the McKnight Foundation. This is my first permanent large scale installation piece and I am so happy with how it turned out. Previously, I had worked on temporary murals and I had been playing around with this "Greetings from" concept, so when I connected with the Montevideo Creatives group who was searching for ideas to help beautify and reinvigorate the downtown area, I knew that this would be an amazing addition.

This project had really pushed my limits and helped me grow as an artist! I learned how and constructed a wooden 5'x7' base for the mural adheer to as well as learn all the ins and outs of a vinyl wrap. Thank you again to the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council for helping me add this new skill to my repertoire!

This mural is located in the courtyard of the Java River Coffee Shop in downtown Montevideo, and if you go inside, you'll be able to purchase a greeting card bearing the same design :)

Lots of love, Miranda Raposa xoxo
